### Common Issue 0008 Author: Artex (aka: IceDragon) Timestamp: 09.Oct.2005 @ 2145 Relation: Bugge Hunters Section: Furcadia Title: Corrupted dynamic main maps Description: A user would normally approach you with some sort of fake panic on their face, describing that once they enter a main map, be it Naia or Beekin's Aerie (it's rarely that you will get a call about private dreams), they see one object, but absolutely everywhere. The entire map is filled with one object and makes it a real pain in the tail to walk. Problem: The problem is, basically, that due to reason yet unknown, the map cache of that specific dream becomes corrupted and when loaded, the user witnesses a glitch that spawns an object all over the map. Chances are it's the DSB file that is corrupted, but the actual location has not yet been established... Solution: The solution is rather simple - redownload the dream. Make sure that the problem remains when the user tries to re-enter the map or we will simply waste time here. If re-entering the dream does not help, suggest the user to delete the specific dream data from his drive. The dream folder of Naia Green is c:\Program Files\Furcadia\maps\pmnaiasquare and the dream folder of the Aerie is c:\Program Files\Furcadia\maps\pmaerienewer (assuming that the user installed Furcadia to that particular path). Try suggesting them to "go to the Furcadia folder". This way you will eliminate the chance of being wrong if the user installed Furcadia elsewhere. To reach the Furcadia folder easily, click START->Programs->Furcadia->Furcadia Tools->Furcadia Folder. Once the dream is downloaded again, it should display just fine with no problems. Note that this entire procedure can be done without a single client restart, so refrain from suggesting this (unless, of course, you want to ensure that restarting the client doesn't fix the problem).
