### Common Issue 0009 Author: Artex (aka: IceDragon) Timestamp: 15.Oct.2005 @ 2005 Relation: Bugge Hunters Section: Dream Editor Title: DreamEd "Couldn't load shapes" Description: The user would approach you with the following issue: Once they try to run the Dream Editor (no matter what method did they use for this), a small window pops up, telling them "Couldn't load the shapes. Program terminated.". After that, the dream editor pretty much closes, end of story. Problem: The problem here is self-explandatory - the dream editor could not load the shapes. Shapes are stored in FSH files and in this particular case - these FSH files are stored in your default patch folder. What the editor is complaining about is that it simply could not load one of the default patches it needed in order to work, so either one (or more) of those files is missing or cannot be opened for whatever reason there is. Solution: Since the user most likely removed one of them files from the patch folder, we can't really do much, but to suggest the user to install Furcadia again (without uninstalling anything!). This way the installer would return the missing files back to where they were and correct the problem. It is useful to mention that if the user has any patch files that he still needs in the default patch folder, he should probably take them out of there since the changes they might still need will be overwritten by the installer. Needless to say, the installation must be done while the client is not running! Otherwise, the installer won't be able to overwrite files and will abort.
